The American influence of sport martial arts goes back to the early fifties right after the Korean war, when American soldiers learn karate and ju-jitsu from the Japanese masters, marines would learn Isshinryu from the Okinawa masters and Korea’s tuff tiger group would introduce Tae Kwon Do, when the martial arts hit the USA, it became a melting pot of mystery and wonderment.
